Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here revisits the emotional and sonic depths of the album that defined an era and continues to resonate half a century later.

This album is drenched in themes of absence, alienation and the music industry’s hollow handshake. Tracks like “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” and “Wish You Were Here” span long, immersive soundscapes, weaving introspection with the band’s expansive studio ambition.

Originally released in September 1975, this was Pink Floyd’s eighth studio album and followed their massive success with The Dark Side of the Moon.

The 50th anniversary edition dropping December 12, 2025 via Sony Music includes the original stereo album, a new Dolby Atmos mix by James Guthrie, nine studio rarities, 16 live recordings from April 26 1975 and numerous previously unreleased demos.
